(Updated for COVID! The interest in this story may be less than before the COVID lock-downs, but it's still a strong tale of the main character's "Cassandra Complex" in trying to warn the world of what is to come. And, the Mawr Pneumonica in this story is over 1000 times deadlier than COVID.)

Tales of world-wide pandemics, and the people who try to survive them, are a staple of Hollywood. They are as varied as Stephen King’s recently-remade “The Stand”, or more grounded takes on the subject such as “Contagion” and “Outbreak”.

My heroine-driven apocalyptic drama trilogy is suitable for theatrical releases or a six-part cable mini-series. These grounded stories cover 30 years of chronological time, and focus on the real issues of H5N1 and an avian-borne pandemic:

Part 1: The Mawr Pneumonica (109 pages, 4 page synopsis)

Logline: An Infectious Disease Specialist aided by a sympathetic cop struggles to warn skeptical authorities to prepare for pandemic as an apocalyptic virus breaks quarantine and begins a relentless global march.

Note: Finalist (Bright International Film Festival 2022)

Part 2: The Farmhouse and the Ziggurat (120 pages, 4 page synopsis)

Logline: As a family in an isolated farmhouse struggles to survive a cataclysmic pandemic, a miraculous survivor is discovered by scientists in a huge compound a thousand miles away.

Note: Award Winner (Bright International Film Festival 2022)

Part 3: Tempesta Tormenta (120 pages, 4 page synopsis)

Logline: A family makes a thousand-mile journey across a perilous, apocalyptic landscape to meet survivors in a walled compound to find if they hold the key to immunity to a deadly virus.
