Plague of Yersinia

As the Black Death terrorizes Medieval England, a tabby tries to save his fellow cats when superstitious humans target them for eradication, even as millions of disease-carrying rats multiply across the land.

In the year 1349, Caesar, a Naval Officer's beloved but tough-as-nails pet tabby cat, returns to England with his Master from battle in the 100 Year War. But the home they arrive at has become a nightmare of death, as a hideous illness is sweeping the country. Believing cats are connected to devil worship and may be the cause of the plague, citizens murder every feline they can find. Meanwhile, disease-spreading rodents, led by Yersinia the Rat Queen, multiply by the millions across the land.

With a third of England's people already struck down by the Black Death, can Caesar and his fellow felines, the natural predators to the rat, survive Humanity's attempt to exterminate cats in order to thwart the rats' extermination of Humanity?

Talk about circular stakes!

Alas, such were the unpleasant days of medieval times.

This story contains a mix of human and (at times, cute and comical) animal characters, and might even be something that Disney, Warner or Fox animators would create when the boss isn't looking! But due to its sometimes grotesque imagery and elaborate and violent action, it is not for very young children.

If you'd like to view this unusual but heroic story, which has significant franchise and alternate media (ie. graphic novel) potential, I look forward to sending it to you.
